Introducing Great Kids Academy - A Preschool Alternative Program Good Enough for My Daughter

In the past, I've rallied for parents to pay close attention to the people who shape your young children's minds.  It's one thing to look at a gym class or a dance class where your child will see a teacher once a week.  But your child's preschool teacher and other preschool staff is so important to giving your child the right environment and push toward grade school.  While Paula and I have generally been happy with our daughter's preschool, we're not happy enough and are taking a step to get what we want.

Over the next few years, we will be launching Great Kids Academy, a preschool-alternative program taught by expert enrichment programs dedicated to Reading, Spanish, and the Arts.  We are now enrolling for our inaugural program at our Gaithersburg Andy's Parties Center for a maximum of 12 kids for the 2009/10 school year.  The program will run 2.5 hours/day, 5 days/week, and will be taught by top instructors from Ready Readers, Jabberu, Impact Performing Arts.  Since other programs pay their lead teachers unbelievably low wages, they cannot get the best - at my daughter's school, turnover is extremely high.  At GKA, our program teachers will come from well-respected (and not cheap) programs where we are confident that our students will be given the best head-start around.  Every session is play-based, and we expect our students will advance significantly in reading, Spanish, and music over the school year.

We'll be small in 2009/10, and will grow the program to new and bigger locations in 2010/11.  If you're interested in enrolling your child, please see the brochure here.  Please call us at 866-677-8676 for more information or email academy@greatkidscamps.net.
