We’re not posting because we’re working!

Hi Everyone -

I apologize for the lack of posting. Ironically, it seems that people actually do read this blog - many prospective clients have known lately that I have a baby from reading this blog, so that’s great - I’ll make sure to check my punctuation better. I think that every business owner should write on a blog so you can learn more about the mindset of the ownership - true, most of my posts are about nothing important, but at least you can make a more informed decision about hiring my company by reading a bit of my nonsense…

Anyway, besides trying to figure out how to keep a 3 week old from crying, here are some things we’re working on:

1) Summer Safari Festival - August 9 - www.summersafarifestival.com - It is going to be awesome. PBS Kids’ Steve Songs is headlining and we’ll have Kidville’s Little Maestros, Bach to Rock, a Mini-Carnival, and a Petting Zoo will be the other main attractions along with animal-related activities from our many vendor sponsors. If you live within 200 miles of Gaithersburg, MD then make a day of this event - gas is expensive and this event is free (except for the food and the carnival rides). If you don’t have fun, then you can babysit my kids while I have fun! To get involved with the event, call us at 301-309-2FUN ext 3.

2) Great Kids Camps is Going Great - We’re halfway through our first summer running a full-day summer camp at Lansdowne Resort and we’re coming back to Lansdowne for Summer 2009. We have had extremely positive feedback and are in serious discussions with 3 new locations (2 in MD and 1 in VA) to bring Great Kids Camps to additional facilities in 2009. Don’t make your Summer 2009 camp plans (kids 3-13) until you check with me.

3) We’re expanding to NJ/NY! My little sister has the itch and is opening the business in Bergen County, NJ (where we grew up). We’ll also be serving Rockland and Westchester Counties as well as Manhattan for “on-location” parties. I’m sure you have friends in that area - everyone does - so please call them and suggest they hire us - I need to buy lots of diapers this year (as well as big girl underwear - woo hoo!), so we need the business!
