Chocolate Flowers, where were you on Valentines’ Day?

One of the nice things about having so many clients is that I find out about interesting ventures that some of our more creative clients are undertaking. At a later date, I’ll be mentioning Droolie Bibs (sp?) and Woah Mama!, but today it is LolliChocs, a great business founded by a client of ours in Washington, DC.

Free Rita’s Water Ice!!!

Rita’s Water Ice opened down the road from me a few weeks ago and I’m pretty hooked - I’ve been there 3 times in the past week. For those of you who’ve never had it, they are a Philly-based company (I think), so I first had Rita’s when I went to college. A year or two ago, Rita’s opened up down from my parents’ home in NJ, and my dad quickly got hooked. Now, they’re near me. Their ices are much more liquid-y - somewhere in between italian ices and a slurpee. They also have custard, and make shakes and other mixes.

Calling all Supermoms….what superpowers do you have?

Are you one of those moms that balances you kids’ social lives, school, extra classes, your own work schedule, social life and household, and your husband’s schedule to-boot?  Do you make playdates, pediatrician appointments, important conference calls and a yummy dinner all in the same day and still survive to play with legos, do laundry, and commit to potty training your toddler before the bath/bedtime routine? Should you be wearing the red cape and mask in secret supermom disguise, lest all the rest of us accost you all day for advice?

If you’re a DC-area mom and want to know EVERYTHING:

Check out Sarah Masterson’s DC Baby ebook, Revised Second Edition at this site.

It is $11 and it is the best resource for DC area moms to find out what you want to find out about. Playgrounds to playgroups, enrichment instructors to events, babysitting services to breast pump rentals. It has it all. Andy’s Parties is listed on page 84 - hopefully this plug will help us get into the top 50 pages next time!!!
